Share your passion for language and culture with the next generation and beyond by working with us! Concordia Language Villages hires both year-round and seasonal staff. Year-round roles include administration, culinary arts, maintenance and more. Seasonal roles work directly with our villagers throughout the year, in both virtual and overnight programs in northern Minnesota. Summer staff applications open in December. Keep our villagers and staff safe and healthy. Learn cross-cultural competency by living and working in a cultural and language immersion environment. No language experience required.

Named for David Dietrich Oprava, a three-time credit villager and eight-year staff member at Waldsee, the German Language Village, the Deitrich Fellowship is an annual merit-based $25,000 award given to a current staff member of Concordia Language Villages who has shown exceptional dedication to global citizenry and language education and is a passionate, compassionate leader of others. Inspired by the experiences of Dietrich and his dedication to travel and service, this Fellowship hopes to inspire staff members by giving them the opportunity to explore the world and gain valuable experiences, insights and skills that will learn will benefit not only the Villages, but ideally the whole world.
We welcome staff from all over the world. If you are outside of the United States and wish to work with us, you must be at least 18 years old and obtain a J-1 Visa. As a government approved institution, we will send you the forms necessary to receive eligibility for J-1 Exchange Visitor status specifically for working at Concordia Language Villages. J-1 Visas apply only to those working as language instructors and counselors—our Exchange Visitor Program does not authorize us to hire culinary staff, healthcare staff or support staff from outside the United States.
