Concordia Language Villages is a recognized leader in global education, offering language and cultural programs in 14 languages. Every year, Concordia Language Villages engages thousands of youth, educators and adults from across the United States in language and cultural learning. Our world-class immersion camp settings in the North Woods of Minnesota provide unique environments in which youth and adults at all levels of language proficiency can truly live the language.
CLV 道 | THE CLV WAY
The CLVway reflects the Asian concept of 道 or the “way” to excellence through practice. It is framed by four precepts, each of which fosters key attributes of responsible global citizenship:
Outdoor Learning
No learner should be left indoors! Our language villages are set on 867 acres of beautiful Minnesota Northwoods lakes.
Community-Based Learning
Villagers and staff from around the world engage in daily activities that facilitate natural use of language and greater cultural fluency.
Grand Simulation
Village life is designed to spark curiosity, encourage discovery and promote empathy.
We build a positive, supportive community of learners where anyone – regardless of proficiency – can benefit from our language and cultural immersion experience. No other educational institution in the United States provides the level of cultural context the Concordia Language Villages offers our participants. Youth
Discover the world with our award-winning cultural immersion experiences. From Adventure Day Camps to one-week, two-week and four-week programs, we’ve got programs for every age and proficiency level. You can even earn high school credit! Virtual programming also available.
Adult
Language learning is a lifetime adventure. We welcome adults 18 and over for weekend, week-long and virtual programs. Learn a new language, advance your current skills and learn about your heritage or culture of interest—whatever your goal, we’ll help you get there!
Family
Take your family on an international adventure without leaving the country! Family weeks and weekends are a great way to introduce kids to the camp experience while enjoying fun, educational time with family and friends.
