Concordia Language Villages offers new programs and discounts for Summer 2027
Registration is now open for Summer 2027 at Concordia Language Villages, with new language-learning experiences, expanded college-credit opportunities, special-interest programs, and additional day camp options planned for the coming summer.
Located in Minnesota’s North Woods, Concordia Language Villages offers immersive language and cultural experiences for youth, high school students, college students, adults, and families in 14 languages.
Among the new programs is Lacus Silvae, a Latin-language camp at Lago del Bosco, the Italian Language Village.
At Mori no Ike, the Japanese Language Village, students can participate in Mugen no Mori, a new two-week high school credit program that combines language learning with a fantasy role-playing adventure.
Villagers returning to Lesnoe Ozero, the Russian Language Village, will have the opportunity to gain leadership experience through its new apprenticeship program. The Finnish, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Swedish language villages also offer apprenticeships.
Expanded Dual Credit
Language Meets Other Passions
Many programs combine language learning with participants' other academic and personal interests.
Waldsee, the German Language Village, will feature high school credit programs on STEM and Märchenwald, a medieval-themed theater experience that blends performance, storytelling, and language immersion.
There are also non-credit Waldsee Adventure Program options in theatre, medieval theatre, environmental and sustainability learning, and Swiss culture and languages.
At Lesnoe Ozero, participants can explore history and diplomacy through a social studies credit program taught in English, pursue a Global Leadership certificate, or take part in non-credit programming similar to Model UN.
At Mori no Ike, villagers enrolled in the Arts and Media credit session will explore both traditional and contemporary Japanese culture through activities ranging from calligraphy and flower arranging to anime and film studies.
Adventure Day Camps
Summer 2027 will also include two Global Adventure Day Camps in August. The camps offer participants the chance to explore multiple languages and cultures in a single week. Each day features activities inspired by different world cultures, along with visits to several language villages.
A new Adventure Day Camp for older kids, ages 11-15, will also be piloted during the first half of the Japanese summer program.
These new camps are in addition to the day camp offerings in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.
Scholarships and Discounted Sessions Available
To help make programs more accessible, Concordia Language Villages will offer discounted rates for the first and last overnight sessions of the summer.
