Our Russian Family Week provides an ideal opportunity to share an “international” experience for a fraction of the cost of traveling abroad. Relax in our comfortable log cabins to the sound of the wind gently fluttering through the leaves — no need to worry about cooking. Our incredible kitchen staff prepares delicious homemade Russian cuisine. From blini and borshch to pierogi and pelmeni, our participants dine family-style on a set menu that changes daily to highlight different dishes and regions. Want to get together and cook some of the tasty Russian dishes yourself? There are opportunities for cooking classes so that you can add some Russian favorites to your family recipe box.
Adults and children spend time together at meals, evening programs, dancing, singing and enjoying the outdoors. There are also special times set aside where kids get to be kids together, learning language through fun songs, games and play while the adults take a language or culture class, learn a new craft or visit with new friends.
Language Villages counselors are trained and have become renowned for their skill, professionalism, and competence in addressing learners of any age, at any level.
