Would you like to earn high school credit for four weeks of intensive Norwegian study? Then this session is for you. With the use of a cutting edge, research-based curriculum, this program uses themed, experiential, project-based instruction where teachers and learners together work to hone the skills necessary to (1) master key functions of the Norwegian language and culture and to (2) continue learning and using them independently after leaving Skogfjorden.

Villagers in four-week high school credit-bearing sessions gain an academic year’s worth of language and culture skills through an immersion experience embedded in daily life, featuring a variety of cultural activities as well as formal study and assessment (minimum of 180 instructional hours; accredited by North Central Association). Emphasis is on literacy and oracy. Open to students entering grades 9-12 of all proficiency levels.
