Italian Four-Week Apprentice Program | Ages 16-18
Concordia Language Villages will require all participants eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine to be fully vaccinated prior to arrival at a residential session, effective September 1, 2021. Read our vaccine FAQ for more information.
Lago del Bosco’s apprentice program is for returning villagers, ideally those who have been through the credit program, have been in the two-week program for at least two years, or have a solid base in Italian. The apprentices, or stagisti, are looked up to by the other villagers because of their level of Italian, their sense of responsibility, and their leadership. The stagisti will still participate in one lesson a day with the credit students and will live in the same cabins as those students. Participants have reduced tuition and must be ages 16 to 18 with two years or more of Italian.
Just as DaVinci, Michelangelo and many others participated in apprenticeships to master their skills, so too do the stagisti (apprentices) at Lago del Bosco! Stagisti are returning villagers and ideally have already been through the credit program or have been in the two-week program for at least two years. They have the opportunity to explore and support the camp in the following vital areas and are looked up to by the other villagers because of their level of Italian, their sense of responsibility and their leadership. Stagisti still participate in one lesson a day with credit students and live in the same cabins but have reduced tuition. They must be age 16-18 with two years or more of Italian.
*Note: Participation in the Italian Apprentice Program is subject to approval by the dean. To request the additional application forms, please contact clvregister@cord.edu.
Concordia Language Villages reserves the right to consolidate or cancel sessions that are below minimum enrollment levels.
