One-Week Youth Exploration | Ages 8-18

All programs—no matter how long or short they may be—offer the authentic Concordia Language Villages immersion experience. Villagers experience the “grand simulation” of living in another language and participating in cultural activities from a variety of French-speaking countries. They learn language, culture and global perspectives through their counselors who hail from all corners of the globe. The natural setting of Minnesota's North Woods and the small, close-knit community of the Villages offer a safe and comfortable environment in which to explore and learn.
A one-week program provides a chance for villagers to dip their toes into the immersion experience. Experience a few days in a leveled learning group, an organized activity of their choice, several types of francophone cuisine and a sampling of evening programs on different themes. Open to all proficiency levels, ages 7–15.
Lac du Bois offers villagers the chance to live, learn and play in a Village mirroring the architecture of various regions of the French-speaking world. Learn more about life at Lac du Bois.
Note: The Les Voyageurs program also offers one-week sessions. At Les Voyageurs, villagers learn wilderness and canoeing skills and paddle to a one-night off-site camping excursion. Find out more information on our Les Voyageurs offerings.
