On a typical day at Skogfjorden, you can count on smørbrød for breakfast and the task of making some extra to wrap in a matpakke for the matpause that comes around noon. The big meal of the day, middag, typically includes some savory meat or succulent fish with some form of potato and colorful vegetables.
The evening meal may be a gryterett (a kind of casserole) or hearty salad. It is typically followed by a sweet treat like fresh bær with cream or Norway’s famous fyrstekake.
If you have food allergies, are vegetarian, or have other special dietary needs, just let us know. The chefs at Skogfjorden will be happy to provide authentic and delicious meals that suit your needs, and your counselors will be there to help you.
The Norwegian culinary tradition is one of balance between sea and land. Honor both with this fusion of fish and dairy.
