French Virtual Class | Concordia Language Villages

Lac du Bois Class | Grades 6-8

French Virtual Village Classes offer a rigorous academic experience in a real-time interactive small group setting. The Class meets twice a week, adding more focus on instruction and language skill-building. Villagers experience language and cultural learning as a hands-on journey to increased confidence and language proficiency, with a focus on comprehension and production. Asynchronous activities for villagers to complete at home will be provided to extend learning.

Middle School Class

Villagers grades 6-8 have the opportunity to take their French language learning one step further. These classes can help villagers progress in independent French study, or supplement school courses when there are conflicts in scheduling to assist in the learning process. Classes are offered over Zoom Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5 p.m. Central.

All language levels welcome. Where possible, villagers will be grouped by similar proficiency and age. Staff to villager ratio of 1:7, on average.

Some complex global topics of cultural relevance may be discussed in English with references to target-language culture(s). Sessions are COPPA and FERPA compliant.

Concordia Language Villages reserves the right to consolidate or cancel sessions that are below minimum enrollment levels.
