There are numerous scholarship opportunities for families wishing to send a villager to Salolampi. Please keep in mind that many of these scholarships can be combined and are not either/or. Check out all the options available to you below.
The Salolampi Foundation provides and opt-in scholarship for youth, residential villagers of 25% of their session tuition on a first come, first serve basis. Apply by simply completing the Passport Fund form in your MyVillage Portal after you register and opt-in to receive your scholarship. More information can be found on the Salolampi Foundation website.
In addition, the Salolampi Foundation matches scholarships for youth who receive a scholarship from a Finnish partner organization in North America up to $100 for family week programs, $200 for two-week youth programs, and $400 for four-week youth programs. Apply by completing the Partner Scholarships form available online.
Finlandia Foundation National awards funds of up to $300 each for a summertime residential session. In addition, students may be eligible for one of two types of travel grants. Additional information is available on the Finlandia Foundation website.

Need-based scholarships are available for Finnish summer youth immersion sessions through the Passport Fund. Scholarships are based on a family’s adjusted gross income, number of dependents, and the length of the session.
Additionally, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education offers a $1,000 stipend for Minnesota students who qualify for free or reduced lunch at school. Additional information is available here.
