Assistant Dean

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
  • Previous Concordia Language Villages leadership experience
  • Strong personnel and program management skills
  • Skills in public relations
  • Language teaching experience
  • Conversational and written proficiency in both English and the target language
  • Work experience with children and adults
  • Skills in cultural/recreational activity areas

Responsibilities

  • Assist dean with delegated administrative duties
  • Assume general responsibility for Village at request of dean
  • Be a leader and mentor to staff and villagers
  • Make program decisions as designated by the dean
  • Assist with public relations (e.g. parent calls, photo shoots, site visits)
  • Coordinate programs and staff performance appraisals, as designated by the dean
  • Assist dean with staff development and supervision
  • Assist dean with planning, preparation and implementation of Village program
  • Assist dean with coordinating staff counselors

Compensation

$725-$1100 for a two-week period, room and board
