Internasjonal dag

Every summer, at the end of the first and second half of the summer, we like to get together with the other camps for something we call Internasjonal dag. We all meet up at Waldsee, the German camp, and have a day full of fun aktiviteter, with song and dance, and lots of good food to eat.
All the camps bring songs and dances that de deler with everyone, and we also have different rop that we deler with everyone. Also the parents come up to watch their barn showing everyone what they have learned during the session. And this friday we have the last internasjonal dag this summer, we are very excited and it is going to be great, so we hope that the barn will remember it all year long and come back next year.

Hyttekveld på Skogfjorden

Twice every session here at Skogfjorden, we have something we call hyttekveld. This is a kveld were we spend some kvalitet tid with our hytte, and do different exciting aktiviteter. Usually at Skogfjorden we have a kveldsprogram, but once in a while we like to take it easy and get to know our hytte members better. This is a night where we create great memories and long lasting friendships. We do create long lasting friendships at Skogfjorden everyday, but there is something special about hyttekveld that just make people grow that much closer.
This is a lot of deltageres favoritt night here at Skogfjorden, and it is not hard to understand why, because it is one of the best nights we have here.

Allsang på skogfjorden

Here at Skogfjorden we like to sing, no we love to sing, we love it so mye we do it everyday. So everyday after Byopprydning we samles at the torg and sing for 45 minutes. This is one of our favoritt aktiviteter, and we never want to stop. So we are all exited about meeting at the torg every morning, and we sing our hearts out. We sing a lot of different song, and we learn a new song almost everyday. Some of the sanger we sing are, "Heia Norge", "Gubben og Gamla" and "Vandringsvisa".
This is a good way to improve the barns language skills, and it gives them a look at Norwegian culture.

Vann moomba

Here at Skogfjorden we like to work with the other CLV villages, and a perfekt eksempel is the dagsprogram we had yesterday. We had a vann moomba fest with Waldsee, Lac du bois, El Lago del Bosque, French Voyageurs, Sjølunden, Sup Sogui Hosu and Skovsøen. We were all split up into different teams competing against other villages. We visited all the other villages in kanoer and had different aktiviteter on the beaches. After that we all gathered at Waldsee and had a skattjakt, were we found Nutella! We also had a song exchange.

Strenggrupper på Skogfjorden

Everyday på Skogfjorden we have strenggrupper, we love strenggrupper so much we even have it two times a day. In strenggruppe we divide the barn into groups according to the level of norsk. We have blå streng which is for the barn that are here for their first time, and all the way up to marineblå streng which is for the barn that have been here for six or more years.
There are different aktiviteter in the different strenggrupper, et eksempel, gul streng, they travel to Norge. They have to buy their own flybilett and they travel on a budget, and they have to manage it. They have to rent a hotelrom, get travel insurance and everything else that goes along with traveling.
One thing that alle strenggruppene have in common is that it is fun, a great learning experience and it will prepare them for a future encounter med Norge.

Krets på Skogfjorden

På Skogfjorden we have different Kretser that the barn er med på. This is aktiviteter where the barn get a closer look at something and spend more time on specific aktiviteter about the krets.The barn are divided into two groups, Midnattsol and Nordlys. This session we can offer them følgende kretser; Midtgard, Svalbard and Fagertun. The barn spend two days in each of these kretser, learning more about vikinger i Midtgard, invandring i Fagertun and the life on Svalbard and isbjørnen i Svalbard kretsen. The barn really enjoy these experiences and aktiviteter, and they participates and make kretser be one of the most fun aktiviteter på Skogfjorden.

Kosetimer på Skogfjorden

Each dag på Skogfjorden the deltakere are presented with a buffet of kosetime aktiviter which can choose from. The ledere offer aktiviter that they think are koselige and that they are very passionate about. The deltakere have the choice of focusing on en eller to aktiviter each day or can try them all during their stay.

This session our kosetime aktiviter have included rosemaling, matlaging, baking, kanonball, kanotur, svømming, lage en film, forming, lese eventyr, fotball, bær tur i skogen, ‘miljøvennlige’ aktiviteter, folkedans og leker. Så koselig!

I dag we have gjester who are folk dancing experts. They are offering an advanced kurs for the deltakere who want to take it even further! Tusen takk til våre gjester Bob og Dorothy Hoover!
