Glad Påsk, Sjölunden!

Godmorgon, Sjölunden!!!
Good morning, Sjölunden!!! |
Flaggan hissas upp.
Raising the flag. |
Kajsa och Annika sjungar glatt!
Kajsa and Annika sing happily. |
Gustava leder gruppen i en song.
Gustava leads our singing. |
Dags för att äta frukost!
Time for breakfast! |
Roliga kläder till matpresentationen.
Funny clothes make meal presentations fun. |
Pretty hard to find your food blindfolded! |
Our expression of the day was "Svälj en älg!" This translates literally "Eat a moose!" Of course, this is not how you use it. When someone babbles on about something, the listener might gently suggest that he or she "svälj en älg" and change the topic! |
En påskkärring???
Is that an Easter witch? |
Neeeej, det är ju Linda!
Noooo, it's Linda, of course. |
Påskkort
Easter cards |
Kolla- vi har hittat pinnar i skogen!
Check out the sticks we found in the woods! |
...så sätter man fast lite fjädrar...
...and you attach some feathers... |
The boys were so intent on getting all the feathers to stay on the switches. |
Yeah! It worked! |
...och så har du en påskris!
...and suddenly you have an Easter Switch! |
Do you see how much brighter the branches look with feathers attached? |
Men ska man ha fjädrar också på öronen? Det tror jag inte!
Should you have feathers on your ears? I don't think so... |
The two week villagers surprised the ledare by putting a påsk ägg filled with godis and a påskkort in their mailboxes! |
The påskris really brightened up the tables at lunch! |
Who is that hiding behind the påskris? |
Middag (supper) brought one of the funniest matpresentationer we have had this session. Three counselors pretended they were our ALLSÅNG (Singing Time) leaders. |

Vilgot played Elli,

and Johanna (och Emilia) played Vilgot,

and Emy played Linda!

They even sang a song which parodies one of our favorites--Du är den finaste jag vet . . . |
. . . except that it was about the köttfärslimpa (meatloaf) you see Kasper here bringing to his table. |
Tonight our evening program was called STUGKVÄLL. This means that every stuga (cabin) designed its own evening of fun.
The flickor here from Skansen were hanging out in IKEA-corner waiting for their cookies to bake. |
The flickor from Ullevi enjoyed ice cream, and some of them decided to dress in pink for the occasion!
The flickor from Globen had chocolate chip cookies and milk. |
We heard that the pojkar from Riksdagen played Ultimate Frisbee and other outdoor games and that the boys from Nimis and Ishotellet went down to the campfire to roast hot dogs, but there were no photographers (Sshh! We are flickor.) to record the occasion! |
After our stugkväll evening program, the credit students returned to their classrooms to learn just a bit more svenska before turning in for the night.
God natt, Sjölunden!! |
