	It was Skansen's chance to do flagghissning this morning.
	The flickor decided to do tai chi.
	Riksdagen caught on quickly.
	And so did the rest of the flickor!
	Tyra leads us in the morning song "Morgonsolen redan strålar högt på blåa himmelen!"
	Amanda och Lillian kommer till frukost.
	Today is the first day in augusti! Wow! What a lot there was on the calendar today. Our dagens fras, the daily phrase, was "självklart." This means "of course!" If you ask your child, "Tycker du om Sjölunden?" (Do you like Sjölunden?) the answer (we hope) would be . . . "Självklart!" (of course!)
	The ledare doing the matpresentation reinforce what the villagers learned last night about medeltiden.

	We had tranbärsmusli this morning. That's müsli with cranberries.
	Emy is so excited! She just finished writing her midterm! We'll see what her students think of it!

	As everyone comes into matsalen, we have the "Remember to Wash Your Hands" guards singing "Tvätta händerna så blir du riktigt glad" and sometimes there may even be a little dans!
	What a great lunch we had! Dillkyckling, potatis, bröd och smör, och sallad!
	We had två speciella dagar today--Max celebrated his 13th birthday . . .

	It was also Per's namnsdag! Grattis!
	Ater every meal, we sing the silly "Plastlåda" song. It goes like this: Plastlåda! Plastlåda! bära, bära, bära, bära Plastlåda! Plastlåda! Nu kan du bära din tallrik . . . och min! This means *Oh, plastic tub! Oh, plastic tub!* *Carry, carry, carry, carry* *Oh, plastic tub! Oh, plastic tub!* *Now you can carry your plate . . . and mine!*

	During intresse today, we took a walk down to see what was up!

	Nimis is celebrating after winning the tie breaking Olympic event--synchronized swimming!
	They got to take down the flagga for the last time this session.
	The mat presentation tonight was about pasta and disco!
	Before the disco, the drama aktivitet group put on a play--announced here by Emy. It was a day in the life of Sjolunden.
	It started by contrasting how long it takes for the girls' cabins to get ready (roughly 1 1/2 hours they said) compared the the 10 minutes it seem to take the boys.
	Soren and Birgitta played Martin and Emilia doing morgonsamling with tai chi.
	Next there was an reenactment of the students working on their famous portfolios.
	When Tina and Sten pretended to do matpresentationen, Sten claimed he was Styr Björn.
	The counselors were quite amused seeing themselves through the villagers' eyes.
	When we got to Allsang, Max played Vilgot, Marie-Katrin played Linda, and Lea played Elli.

	They really had their characters down, as you can see Elli's reaction.
