Sarah “Sabine” Pieper is American. She is from Michigan, and she will teach French as an assistant in the fall in a high school in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is almost finished with her studies at Grand Valley State University to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Education (she still has one year of student teaching to complete). She began studying French when she was 14 years old, and she has traveled throughout France during three trips. One of the times she spent a month studying at École France Langue in Nice. Also, she received a scholarship from and is a member of the Alliance Française of Grand Rapids. Her goal is to return to France after receiving her Bachelor’s to be an English language assistant for a year and then return to the U.S. to begin her teaching career. She loves traveling, learning about other cultures, scrapbooking, and, of course, living in the French culture! This is her first year at Lac du Bois as a credit teacher assistant.
