Anne Marthe Bazile is currently
a Ph.D. student in second languages and cultures education with the Department
of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities). She
also works with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board as a coordinator for
the Village Park Program, which provides leadership training on teaching language
and culture to inner city high school students. This is her third year at Lac
du Bois (2 years as a credit teacher and now as the credit program facilitator).
Being of Belgian and Haitian descent, she speaks French fluently and also speaks
Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, German, Russian, and Swahili. She originally
comes from Chicago, and she travels yearly to, namely, Europe (to visit family),
as well as other countries around the world.
