The day usually begins with "la Grande odyssée" which presents the phrases of the day.
The two week villagers then split up into groups based on their level in French.

This summer, Lac du Bois had the exciting opportunity to begin Afrique!, a 2 week program which focuses on teaching villagers about francophone African cultures,. Villagers got the chance to visit the Boukarou (a Cameroonian building where community members hold important meetings), participated in "la cérémonie du 8eme jour", wrote and acted out African fables, played Djembé (African drum), and even got to practice making "la mousse" for Senegalese tea.
