International Day

"...To prepare young people for responsible citizenship in our global community..."

Twice during the summer, all of Concordia Language Villages come together to celebrate International Day. The day begins with a parade into the Markplatz at Waldsee, the German site, where International Day is held. Each village participates in the opening and closing ceremonies, bringing its own unique style to this great event. International Day gives campers a chance to interact with those from other villages, and further expand their growing cultural awareness. Throughout the day, attendees are treated to various individual village performances: anything from drumming to singing to Martial Arts, and much, much more. Food is available from stands around the site, and if you're looking for some CLV souvenirs, try the International Bazaar, where t-shirts, hats, stuffed animals and other gifts in every language can be found. International Day is also a wonderful opportunity for friends and relatives of villagers and staff to visit and see what CLV is all about.
