Day Seven

August 3, 2003

After brunch and a fun trip to the mall, we came back to Concordia to dye t-shirts.

Now we will be coordinated for International Day on Friday.

After the shirts were washed, we took some time to sign shirts in many different languages.

Hey Jenna!

Here's Caitlin's shirt, complete with Korean, German, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Slovakian, and many other languages!
The evening program tonight was about Lois and Clark's expedition.

Villagers were given a chance to create their own cultures, including their own language, resources, and icons.

The object of the game was to gather resources from other cultures, without knowing their language!  It was quite a challenge.

Heather and Max keep hitting their heads with their hands.  The culture on the right has no idea what they're saying, but they're trying.
Ryan touches his stomach and head simultaneously.  The French tribe thinks it means he wants food, but actually he's asking for shelter.

Through trial and error, we all eventually understood each other and got the resources we needed.
