Day Ten

July 23, 2003

During showtime in the morning, Molly taught a line dance.

The advanced neighborhood was kind enough to act out a skit they had prepared for morning show time.  Here, Bart and Angie discuss.

The villagers in the advanced neighborhood were Barbara, Jasmine, Patricia, Hailey, Rachel, Bart, and Angie.  They did a great job with their performance.

Harrison shows off a barnyard animal he made in his neighborhood.  Kate's class constructed a small farm after seeing the Ziegler's.

Our afternoon program today was a trip to Bonanzaville in North Dakota.

Bonanzaville is a recreated turn-of-the-century pioneer town complete with general store, jail, police station, and many houses.  There are also many smaller interactive museums within the town, such as the Native American exhibit and aviation museum.

Stella is impressed by their aviation museum.

At Bonanzaville, villagers had the chance to interact as well as view the many exhibits.  They could enter old trains, planes, and automobiles at their leisure.

Can you spot the iron lung?

Julia, Barbara, and Patricia exit the first house ever to have been built in Fargo.  It was 140 years old and still in good shape!

Wow!

Flipping through the guestbook, we found entries from last year's ELV students!  $hack, Frank, Bob, Adam, Thomas, and Sergei were a few.

The evening program was "dress up your counselor".  Jessica and Rachel picked out silly clothes for Julia while other villagers used their own clothes to dress up other counselors.

"Andrea" is quite the beauty queen, though underneath all that glam is just our plain old Andrew.

Molly was a model.  Andrew and Angel were dressed as women.  Heather was a baby.  Julia was dressed as a freak, and Caitlin was a gangster!

What a beautiful group of counselors!
