It was a beautifully cool day to visit the Ziegler farm. Here, the kids get a small tour of the equipment and buildings of the farm. |
Jessica and Andrew climb out of the corn field.. |
Patricia and Hailey play around a little. |
Frank, Ryan, Angie, and Hailey roast hot dogs after tubing down the Ziegler River. The journey was about a half hour and was mentioned as being the high point of many villagers' days. |
Bart and Patricia assemble s'mores later on in the day. |
Julia and Mitchell feast! |
The Ziegler farm is a good chance for villagers to see a country way of living, as opposed to the college campus where we reside. |
This is Nate, our guide. He was very excited to spend time with ELV, as were we. |
Villagers dance with Julia after a great dinner. |
Barbara receives a candy bar for speaking English all day. Kids participate in a special activity called "English Language Super Heroes" in which they must wear a super-hero nametag and speak English the entire day. If anyone hears them speaking another language, their name tag is taken away. However, if they make it until dinner they get a great prize! |

A group poses in front of the Zieger guest house. |

To finish off a great day at the farm, Heather, Kate, Molly, and Julia visited the biggest turkey in the mid-west. Pretty cool! |
