Hometown in the News

A Big Visit

 Thursday, July the 10th

Archie and the staff told us that we’ll have visitors tomorrow.  The Governor of the Swiss Canton of Graubünden, Claudio Lardi, was coming.  Also the mayor of Ftan, Reto Pedotti, was joining us.  Of course, such attention meant that reporters from the regional radio station, RTR, and from the national radio station, DRS, were coming as well!

Friday, July the 11th

That day began as usual. We had our breakfast and started into our day with some differences.  Simtown was in the morning, not the afternoon.

The visitors joined us at Simtown and paid every branch a visit in the following hour. We needed Kate to help translate but that wasn’t a problem.

A few minutes before they arrived in our press room, we in the media had prepared some questions for two of them. One person who was interviewed is the governor of Ftan and the other one was the treasurer of Ftan.  While Kate translated, he told us that he is very surprised, proud and feels happy for us - the media branch. (Not exaggerating!)
