Mensaje de La Decana
¡Aquí hablamos español, vivimos por el español, gritamos por el español, olé, olé, olé!
Nestled on an escarpment on the west side of Turtle River Lake, El Lago del Bosque, with 13 houses for villagers and 48 staff members, is a beautiful setting for speaking the Spanish language and living and experiencing the language and culture of Hispanic countries across the world. Daily life In El Lago del Bosque includes language groups and classes, cultural activities, sports activities, authentic food from all over the Spanish-speaking world, as well as many games, simulations and reenactments.
In addition to regular program within the village, we also have a daily indigenous program held in the woods called La Pacha, in which our two week villagers spend the day with their language groups. As you peruse our website, you will see through pictures many of the wonderful opportunities for villagers in Spanish at El Lago del Bosque. At the end of each session, our villagers will also be able to see these pictures and remember all the memories of Spanish, activities, and friends while they were at El Lago del Bosque!
¡Viva la gente, viva la aldea, viva el español!
