Bienvenidos a El Lago del Bosque-Bemidji!

Aquí hablamos español, vivimos por el español, gritamos por el español, olé, olé, olé!

Nestled on the west side of Turtle River Lake on the cliff, El Lago del Bosque with 13 houses for villagers and 48 staff members is a beautiful setting for speaking Spanish, living with all things Hispanic and shouting about Spanish, as the above line states.  Daily life here includes language groups and classes, cultural activities as well as sports activities, authentic food from all over the Spanish-speaking world as well as many games, simulations and reenactments.

In addition to regular program within the village, we also have an overnight camping program called El Refugio and a daily indigenous program held in the woods called La Pacha.  As you peruse our website, you will experience through pictures many of the wonderful opportunites for villagers in Spanish at El Lago del Bosque.

¡Viva la gente, viva la aldea, viva el español!
