Paris - Dining Hall
The kitchen staff at Lac du Bois does a wonderful job of preparing authentic Francophone cuisine. Meals begin with a meal presentation where counselors (and sometimes villagers too!) dress up in crazy costumes and creatively present the vocabulary of the food being served. Villagers chant “Qu’est-ce qu’il y a à manger” (“What is there to eat?”) to start off this skit. Meals are served family style and in courses. Other favorite activities that take place here are various meal ritual songs and La Poste du Lac du Bois (inter-village mail).
