During Gott och Blandat, we talked about Swedish Christmas traditions and found out how many of us shared the same ones. Because we were celebrating Christmas in July, it seemed pretty strange to put ornaments on the trees outside when the grass is green, the flowers blooming, and the birds singing. |

Magda skär upp skinkan. Vi åt Janssons frestelse, sill, kålsallad, gurksallad, knäckebröd, fruktsallad, osv. Mums!
Magda cut up the ham, and we also had Janssons Temptation, herring, cabbage salad, cucumber salad, hard tack fruit salad, etc. Yum! |

Magda and Vilgot love "Allsång." that is the singing time we have every evening after supper. |

We finished the evening with watching Kalle Anka, (Disney cartoons) which is traditional to do at Christmas in Sweden. Of course, it was all in Swedish. Then we had risgronsgröt, which is rice pudding, another tradition in Sweden, before we went to bed.
So, "Was it a great day, Bella?
Bella säger, "Ja, visst!"
. . . and Åsa and Annika heartily agree! Two thumbs up!
