Support the Villages
We are grateful to all of the villagers, parents, friends, ethnic organizations, businesses, foundations, and staff members who give of themselves and their resources to help us succeed. Your gifts to the Village Vision Fund help us with building initiatives and enrich our existing programs and sites. Donations to the Passport Fund provide scholarships for young people to attend our programs. And support of the Leadership Fund ensures ongoing support to individual languages and sites.
Ways to support us:
Program Funds: Sustain, reach and grow
- Leadership Fund: Partner with us to pursue new opportunities and sustain already existing successful initiatives. Add additional languages, develop more programs for adults and families and encourage innovation at International Day.
- Passport Fund: Give villagers with limited financial means the transformative power of a Concordia Language Villages experience. These need-based scholarships help nearly a fourth of our participants attend one of our language and culture programs each year.
- Village Vision Fund: Help summer deans and program leaders pursue ideas that capture new facets of the cultures their Villages represent. Bring new activities and expertise to the program you love.
Capital Funds: Establish permanent homes

- Sjölunden: The architecturally authentic Swedish Language Village
- Sēn Lín Hú: Celebrate 25 years of living and learning Chinese at Concordia Language Villages
- Waldsee BioHaus: a unique environmental learning center.
Endowed Funds: Honor or remember someone dear to the Villages
- David Erceg Endowment for Food Staff Development: Mealtime is an important part of our culturally authentic learning environment. Enrich Village meals with support for master classes and training abroad for our head cooks.
- Denise Phillippe Endowment for Program Staff Development: Our programs are rooted in time tested techniques and perfected with cutting-edge immersion education pedagogy and camp counseling techniques. Give professional development opportunities to the people that make the magic happen.
- Pia Johnson's 25th Anniversary Fund: Our tradition is to mark staff members’ 25th year with a significant gift in recognition of their commitment. For Pia we have chosen to honor her passion for the great outdoors by adding culturally authentic, Swedish outdoor furniture where villagers can gather to relax and hang out. We invite you to contribute to this special project in honor of Pia's 25 years of giving to others.
Volunteer: Spread the word
Become a Village Advocate: tell others about the Language Villages, represent us at festivals and fairs in your area, and give personal insight to potential new villagers and parents.

At ShopConcordiaLanguageVillages.com, we offer a variety of authentic gifts from our language and cultural immersion programs as well as learning resources and apparel in our Village Markets. All items online are also available in the Village gift shops within each program. Choose something from your favorite Village or explore something new.
