Look at the list below for more fund-raising ideas to help you come to the Language Villages next summer!

Have a juice/soda stand
Hold a bake sale
Organize a garage sale
Deliver the newspaper
Host a car wash
Arrange a craft sale- sell painted lady bug rocks, etc.
Host an art auction
Create holiday decorations
Have a magic show, talent show, concert or play
Knit or crochet scarves
Sell car antenna decorations
Make greeting cards
Put together seasonal gift/food baskets (i.e., sweetheart baskets)
Wrap presents at the mall (ex: bookstores)
Take pictures with Santa Claus/Easter Bunny
Take pet pictures
Advertise pet sitting/walking
Host a cultural meal/dessert
Organize a lock-in for youth
Do a “parents’ night out” (Children arrive in their PJs at 6 p.m. and the parents pick them up at 9 or 10 p.m.)
Hold a fashion show
Start a “pink flamingo fundraiser” (Purchase 10 flamingos and put them in a yard for 7 days or until they pay to have them put in someone else’s yard )
Babysit
Form a babysitting co-op (Parents call and you set up the babysitter for them from a list of friends)
If you are too young to babysit, “parent sit” (still help out with the children while the parent is home by feeding, playing with, and watching the children)
Teach computer skills/musical instrument/singing/golf/exercise/poetry/sewing/dance/baking classes
Tutor in your favorite subject
Paint indoors or out
Rake leaves
Mow lawns
Garden—weed/prune
Shovel snow
Shop for and/or carry in groceries
Deliver homemade meals
Run errands
Work during school breaks
See if a family member will match what you save
Keep a change jar and empty your pockets into it all year long
Save holiday and birthday money

You can try any (or all) of these ideas or come up with an idea that's all your own.  The important thing is to start soon.  The sooner you start raising money the more you can save. Do one or do all.  How many can you do?
