Why Learn German Contest Winners
This year Concordia Language Villages ran a contest to find out students' motivation for studying German. With the simple title of "Why Learn German", the contest was mulitmedia-based and sponsored by the American Association for the Teachers of German, the German Embassy, and the Zentralstelle fuer das Auslandschulwesen. German dean Dan Karl Hamilton began the contest by making a video of his own, then it was up to respondants to make their best arguments.
After receiving several wonderful entries, the final winners along with their submissions can be found below. Each will be receiving a full, two-week scholarship to attend Waldsee, the German Language Village.
