Welcome to Lac du Bois!
At Lac du Bois, you’ll learn French in a traditional summer camp setting. Language classes are tailored to learners of all ages and stages. Whether you’re looking for an early introduction or an intensive language program, we’ll meet your level of language and help you to advance during a 1, 2 or 4 week session.
All our Villages--regardless of the language or location--strive to give the most authentic cultural experience possible. Our staff come from around the world to share their knowledge and expertise with young people. This unique program has at its core two goals: to promote global understanding and to create global citizens.
We offer a variety of opportunities for young people to learn about French language and culture in an immersion setting. Counselors from the United States and several French–speaking countries will help you every step of the way, using gestures and demonstration to help you understand new words and giving you plentiful opportunities to practice what you learn.
While you’re here, you will be with other kids your own age who also have an interest in making new friends, trying new things, and learning French. Your French immersion experience will be different from every classroom you’ve ever been in. You will completely change your surroundings and learn by doing.
You’ll live in the language and cultures of the French-speaking world from the moment you wake up until the close of the day. You’ll be amazed by how quickly you’re saying bon matin* (good morning), and heading off to P'tit déjeuner (breakfast) with tes amis (your friends).
