Meals at El Lago del Bosque

El Lago del Bosque meals include foods from a variety of Spanish speaking countries - which means our menu is big and varied!

Your taste buds will be tempted with familiar fare like enchiladas and tacos, as well as foods you might not have had before, like asado argentina (Argentine barbecue), pollo al ajo, Milanesa napolitana and Gallo Pinto. Made from fresh ingredients by dedicated chefs, El Lago del Bosque meals aren’t your typical camp food; it’s more like eating at a quality restaurant.

Mexican Queso Fundido

Spice up dinner time with this savory Mexican appetizer.

Serves 10

2 lbs - Asadero Cheese
½ lbs - Mexican Chorizo
Flour Tortillas

Melt the cheese in a crock pot on the lowest setting. Stir frequently to make sure it doesn't burn. In a frying pan, cook the chorizo over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces with the spatula. Wrap tortillas in aluminum foil and warm gently in the oven. Before serving, [lace the crumbled chorizo over the melted cheese. Serve with a fork and the warm tortillas. Cheese is scooped out of the serving dish, into the tortillas, and then rolled up.
