Callaway, Minn.
Maplelag Resort has hosted Language Villages since 1976 and has hosted El Lago del Bosque since 1994. During the summer, we transform this Ski Resort into a Spanish-speaking village, complete with Spanish signs and authentic décor from all parts of the Spanish-speaking world.
You’ll stay in a dormitory-style cabin with between four and 24 other villagers who are about your age and are your same gender. You’ll have your own bunk and a small area to keep your clothes and belongings.
When you arrive, you’ll go through “customs,” select a Spanish name to use during your stay, and embark on a new adventure where Spanish language and culture are celebrated. Friendly staff members will make sure you feel welcome as you exchange American dollars for pesos and meet your new cabin mates and friends.
