Program Overview
At Skovsøen family weekends, grandparents, parents, children, aunts, uncles, and cousins can have fun and make memories together. A family weekend is a great way to prepare for a trip abroad, explore your family heritage, or just broaden your mind as you make priceless memories together.
Family programs welcome all ages — from babies to seniors. You don’t need to have any prior knowledge of Danish to enjoy our family programs.
Activities
While family programs are tailored to the ages of the people attending, participants still enjoy the same authentic menus and many of the same fun-filled immersion experiences as villagers in the summer overnight programs do. Together you can cook Danish food, learn to do Danish art and craft projects, play Danish games and sports, and enjoy camping favorites like canoeing and singing funny songs (in Danish, of course!).

Danish family weekends take place at Skogfjorden, the Norwegian Language Village site.
