Meals

Our kitchen staff pays careful attention to the authenticity of ingredients and cooking style when preparing culturally authentic food for our program.  We bake all of our bread from scratch at the site.  The use of fresh produce, imported cheeses and spices makes the meals healthy, authentic and tasty.

We encourage teachers to prepare their students for meals that may be very different from home.  Eating culturally authentic foods is an essential element of a Language Villages immersion experience. Some of these foods contain items to which a person may be allergic; consequently, our program is not appropriate for people whose food allergy is so sensitive that being around others eating that item triggers anaphylaxis. 

If you or one of your villagers has special dietary needs, please contact us before your arrival.  We can usually accommodate these needs.  This information should also be specified on the health form or teacher form.

Vegetarians and vegans must include this information on the health form.  Our kitchen staff will accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets whenever necessary.
