If you’re 18 years or older and want to sharpen your French skills to prepare for a travel abroad, to improve your professional skill set, study French arts, history, and cuisine, or just to stretch your mind, our adult sessions are perfect for you.

Experience French with all your senses. Hear voices from Toulouse, Québec or le Maghreb, smell la lavande from Grasse or la brioche from our kitchen. Warm up with a chocolat chaud or sip a grenadine. Feel cloth from Bamako and Alsace and leaf through an old leçon de chose found at a brocante. Play, speak smile, laugh and dream en français!

The talented and motivated staff members at Lac du Bois provides expert instruction in small and large group settings catered specifically to participants’ language abilities. They make sure the session includes ample opportunity for practicing your newfound French skills, as well as for meeting new people and for having fun. We’ll help you improve your French pronunciation, expand your vocabulary, learn new conversational skills, and broaden your knowledge of French-speaking cultures.

While adult programs are tailored to the needs and preferences of adults, participants still enjoy the same authentic menus and many of the same fun-filled immersion experiences as villagers in the Lac du Bois summer villages do.

Our traditional French adult programs are located at our architecturally authentic French Language Village near Bemidji, Minn.
