Pledge to Change

At International Day this summer, villagers and visitors were asked to write down a pledge about what they will do to "become the change." See the 2011 Pledges to Change below!

I will respect others, their ideas, opinions, and cultures

I will teach someone Chess

Stand up for what I believe in

Think about others before thinking about yourself

Get out my bike and start riding it, instead of taking a car

Take shorter showers

Remember that we are all connected

I will recycle and reuse

Make a world a better place by helping one another

Care and sustain the environment and give

I will not use as much running water and will make an effort to keep the environment surrounding me clean
