Portuguese

Join kids from coast to coast as they dive into Portuguese and embark on a one-of-a-kind adventure!

While at Mar e Floresta you will have the opportunity to experience things you might otherwise not have the chance to.  Try capoeira (a Brazilian blend of martial arts and dance), soccer, fishing, cooking, arts and crafts or learn dances like the samba.  If you’re a complete beginner or an advanced learner we can help you learn while having fun.

Portuguese is the next big thing!  At Mar e Floresta you’ll be part of the cool new movement in language and culture.  Be one of the first to catch the wave!

If you are learning Portuguese, you're in good company: there are more than 200 million Portuguese speakers in the world, making it the 6th most spoken language.  Plus, Portuguese is now the most widely spoken language in South America, is a major lingua franca in Africa, and is an official language of eight countries spanning each of the earth’s inhabited continents.

Villagers at Mar e Floresta experience the rich diversity of the countries where Portuguese is spoken by exploring a new country or region each day.
