New Web Site

Concordia Language Villages launched a much-anticipated new Web site on July 1, 2008. The entire site was rebuilt from scratch, including new information architecture and all new or revised text.  “The old Web site was not able to encompass the full range of new programs we are offering in the summer and during the year,” according to Carl-Martin Nelson, director of communications and marketing.

 
The most commonly navigated pages include the Village Production pages, which allow parents to see pictures and sometimes video of their children while they are away at camp.  The pages also provide an online “yearbook” for villagers after they return home so they can share pictures of camp and stories of their adventures with their friends.
 

The site will continue to be polished as we head into phases two and three of launch, which will include online registration by 2010.  Our goal is also to be a resource for families to continue their language journey between Language Village sessions.  The new Web page is an important first step in that direction.
