Larry Saukko

Larry Lauri Saukko is dean of Salolampi, the Finnish Language Village in Bemidji, Minn. for both our summer sessions and our Finnish Adult Weeks and Family Weekends held during the school-year. He also works with our German Adult Weeks and Family Weekends and is known for his use of story-telling as a language teaching tool.

Lauri has been on staff at Concordia Language Villages for 33 years. He is fluent in Finnish and German and has studied French and Swedish.  Lauri received his bachelor’s degree in languages from the University of Minnesota.
