Christi Moraga

Christi Dominique MoragaChristi Dominque/Jazmin Moraga is dean of Lac du Bois French Language Village and El Lago del Bosque Spanish Language Village in Savannah, Georgia.  She has recently served as a member of the Concordia Language Villages Portuguese Advisory Committee.

Dominque/Jazmin earned a B.A. in French and Spanish at Middlebury College and she has two master's degrees as well as a French master's-equivalent degree:  M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College in Madrid, Spain; M.A. in international studies (concentration Latin America), University of Connecticut, Storrs; and a diplôme d'études françaises modernes, Université de Genève, Switzerland.

Recognized as ACTFL's 2007 Northeast Regional Language Teacher of the Year, Dominque/Jazmin has taught in the Farmington (Conn.) Public Schools for the past 17 years.  Before that, she taught in Marlborough, Conn., where she initiated the Spanish FLES program, and in three private high schools, including the American School in Switzerland. She is most well known in her region for having founded and organized the Connecticut Council of Language Teachers' Rhyme Celebration, now in its eighteenth year.
