Magara Maeda is the dean of
Mori no Yochien, the Japanese Pre-K program. Magara understands preschoolers and their capacity to learn about other languages and cultures. In addition to having 10 years of experience teaching Japanese, she is also raising her own preschooler to be bilingual in Japanese/English. A native of Japan, she is an active member of the Twin Cities Japanese community. Magara holds an M.A. in applied linguistics is working toward her Ph.D. in second languages and cultures education at the University of Minnesota.
