Liz Klages

Liz Lis Klages is the dean of Skovsøen, the Danish Language Village.  She has been on staff for 11 years, serving as senior counselor, business manager, assistant dean and dean. 

She earned her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Minnesota; her M.A. in European studies and international economics from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C., and Bologna, Italy; and her B.A. in international relations and political science from Carleton College. 

Lis has spent several years living and studying in Denmark. Since 2003, she has been a visiting professor at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minn.
