Gilbert Ekotto
Gibert Ekotto is the dean of Lac du Bois - Bemidji (second half) the French Language Village. Gilbert is a longtime Lac du Bois staff member. Over the years, he's been counselor, staff counselor and assistant dean. In recent years, he has been actively involved creating and implementing the Afrique! curriculum.
Gilbert is dean of students at the French American School of New York; he has been there since 1997. He also teaches economics to sophomores. Prior to that, he worked as a French instructor at the Air Force Academy and as a freelance writer.
Educated on three continents, Gilbert holds an M.A. in economics from Cornell University, B.S. in economics from the University of Minnesota, and degrees in economics from the Universite de Paris and in marketing from the Institut Universitaire de Technologie, Besancon, France. His secondary school diploma was earned in his native Cameroon.
