Kathryn Droske
Kathryn Katy Droske is the dean of Lac du Bois - Hackensack (first half), the French Language Village. Katy has served in multiple positions at Lac du Bois Hackensack, most recently as assistant dean, and les Voyageurs, where this past summer she also spent some time at French Bemidji as an exchange counselor. Her positions have included assistant dean, credit teacher, two-week facilitator, staff counselor, senior counselor, lifeguard, waterfront manager, and Village first-aider. Katy earned her B.A. in French, English, and secondary education certification at the University of Minnesota, Morris. She spent a semester in the program International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership at Universite Paul Valery in Montpellier, France.
Katy teaches French, beginning through AP levels, at Willmar (Minn.) Senior High School, where she also leads a biannual student trip to France. She taught in the Morris Area High School (and took students to a French Village Weekend). She has done work in translation and multimedia materials development, and she is an active volunteer.
