Wilder Forest encompasses 900 acres that include hardwood forest, 12 miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails, picturesque lakes, and a wildlife sanctuary accessible by trail.

A central village area includes four lodges that can accommodate up to 102 people, a meeting house for groups of 40 to 60, a kitchen and dining hall, smaller meeting rooms, and a library. All facilities are designed to blend naturally into the environment while offering comfort, accessibility, and energy efficiency.

Climate
Minnesota is typical of a continental climate. Minnesota’s North Woods experience the widest variety of weather in the United States. Each of the four seasons has its own distinct characteristics.  Although summers are generally hot and humid, it is normal to experience rain showers, thunderstorms and cool nights.  Summer temperatures average 85 F but can get down to 55 F, so keep that in mind while packing!
