Cass Lake, Minn.

The small town of Cass Lake is located in northern Minnesota within the boundaries of the beautiful Chippewa National Forest, home to the largest population of breeding Bald Eagles in the lower 48 states. A variety of businesses and Native Arts and Crafts stores can be found offering traditional hand harvested wild rice, maple syrup, birch bark crafts, quill boxes and other cultural treasures. Pow wow celebrations hosted by the local Ojibwe (Anishinaabe) Native American tribe bring together traditional dancers from all over the United States and Canada, outfitted in historic dress and colors.
