National German Exam Scholarship Winners to Attend Concordia Language Villages

National German Exam Scholarship Winners to Attend Concordia Language Villages

For Immediate Release (Bemidji, Minn.) — The American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and Concordia Language Villages are thrilled to offer all 55 winners of the 2021 National German Exam scholarships to attend a summer youth language and culture immersion program at Concordia Language Villages this summer. Recipients can enroll in either a four-week German immersion program (in-person or virtual) or any one-week Virtual Waldsee German Language Village program.

Over 20,000 high school students take the National German Exam each year. "AATG is proud to partner with Concordia Language Villages to offer high-quality German language immersion courses for the 2021 National German Exam prizewinners. International education is a part of all communities, from Berlin to Bemidji, Minnesota, and we're thrilled that the Language Villages can offer flexibility and access to their German language programs to a wider audience. We look forward to working with Concordia Language Villages in the years to come to increase access to immersion programs for young learners of German," said Michael R. Shaughnessy, Executive Director of AATG.

Waldsee is the premier German language immersion program in North America and recognized as a National Center of Excellence by the AATG. "Waldsee is delighted that the nation's top German students have a chance to join our immersion adventures in German language and culture this summer. Our thanks go to our partner, AATG. We are also grateful for continuing support of our efforts from the German Foreign Office," said Dan Karl Hamilton, dean of Waldsee.
