International Day 2018

Join us for International Day 2018 at Concordia Language Villages.

Grab a friend and visit Bemidji for International Day on Friday, July 6 from 12:15 – 6 p.m., and explore international foods, games, art and performances. This year’s theme is “Courage,” a nod to our new mission of Inspiring Courageous Global Citizens.

International Day is a unique opportunity for villagers, families, friends and alumni to celebrate the language and culture immersion programs we offer—all at one site! Everyone is welcome to attend – no admission fee and no RSVP needed. Our second and final International Day will be held Friday, August 10.

Thank you to our wonderful donors who make our programs possible!

        International Day Information

Nurses are on duty to handle emergency medical needs at the first-aid station located in the Bosch Health Center on the north end of the Marktplatz.

The Information Booth is located at the entrance of Waldsee. If you have any questions about programs and activities, please inquire at the booth. Lost and found items will also be located at the there.

Two drinking fountains and four water bottle refill stations are available around Waldsee. Disposable cups are available at the Information Booth. Reusable water bottles can be purchased at the International Bazaar, and bottled water can be purchased at the International Cafe.

Nearly 15 percent of villagers at all 15 Language Villages receive scholarships to support their attendance. For more information on how you can support visit our scholarships page or call 800.222.4750.

Portable blue lavatories are placed around the International Day site.

Near the information booth on the Marktplatz is a large, cylindrical message stand. Arrange to meet your friends and family here or leave notes for each other.

Learn the German recycling system by using the colorful plastic bins throughout the site, which are marked with what items are accepted in each container. Recycling receptacles for aluminum cans and plastic bottles are marked and located throughout the site next to regular trash receptacles.

We’re sorry, but pets are not allowed on our site.
