Oktoberfest!

Yesterday was yet another Ankunftstag (arrival day) here in Waldsee. But this time, things were a little bit different. Instead of dropping their kids off for the week, many of the parents decided to stay for Familienwoche (family week)!

A Day with Lesnoe Ozero!

Yesterday we celebrated a day with Lesnoe Ozero, the Russian camp. After lunch, they arrived at Waldsee and the festivities got started with a simulation debating whether or not Deutschland (Germany) should send Lenin back to Russia after the February Revolution. The LKTs (four week villagers) from Waldsee and all of Lesnoe Ozero took part in the simulation in two different groups: one in the Gasthof (dining hall) and one in the BioHaus. Yesterday, we spent our day learning all about Martin Luther and the 30 Years War. Of course, we didn’t do this by sitting in a lecture hall and listening to the facts. Instead, we lived them.

The LKT Programm
