Yesterday was a sehr besonderes Tag (very special day). It was Sonntag (Sunday)! We got up late, ate brunch, went on Reisen (vacations), and played Mario Kart!

Pause in Waldsee

Pause (break time) is arguably one of the villagers’ favorite times of the day. Although Familie (small language learning group) and Veranstaltungsstunde (activity hour) are fun, there’s nothing like getting a half hour to sit back, relax, and pig out on all of the candy they can buy. The First Day in Waldsee

After a hectic Ankunftsag (arrival day) here in Waldsee, everyone was excited to being a normal day the following morning. We ate Frühstück (breakfast), sang songs at Gesang, ​and so much more!

Die Kinder Kommen An!

Today was the very first day of second half sessions! All of the new Betreuer (counselors) were so excited to welcome new sets of Day Campers, Ts (one weekers), KTs (two weekers), and LKTs, Lehrlinge, and Studis (four weekers). Even before the Grenze (border) opened up for the day, kids were lined up and ready to go. After getting their passports checked, it was time for them to choose a new name at the Namensbaum (name tree). This is one of our favourite rituals...
